Day 4 - Genoa

During my research of the trip I couldn't find much about Genoa. Turns out that's for a reason. You have to go far, far away to see a lot of things. Not to worry, join the hop-on-off bus (which picks you up right outside the port) and you'll enjoy a gorgeous city.

The bomb that didn't explode when it came through the church in WW2

Just before getting back to the port is this hidden building. Something drew me in and I'm so glad I made the visit. This is the 1520 Santissima Annunziata del Vastato.

The church was badly damaged in 1942

Thankfully it has been (mostly) restored to it's original glory

Artists are still in the process of painting the rebuilt roof

You cannot visit Genoa and forget to east the food

It's all outstanding and has flavors unlike the US
